Thank you for visiting Puddle Jumper Publishing.  My name is Carla Mitchell, I am the author and illustrator of this collection of grief storybooks for children.  I am a registered social worker and end of life doula.  I provide bereavement support services, resource navigation and children's grief programming.

I am the mother of three young children. The books were inspired by my clinical practice and personal experience of supporting my own grieving children.

I believe that all children are capable of grieving and benefit from having supportive adults that can help them understand death and grief.  The best way to do this is by providing honest, concrete and accurate information children can understand.
